ABSUTH POISED TO CHALLENGE THE BEST AS STATE GOVT PARTNERS JNC INTERNATIONAL LTD FOR THE LAUNCH STATE OF THE ART CARDIOVASCULAR CENTRE IN ABSUTH.

ABIA STATE GOVERNOR, DR. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI'S VISION OF TRANSFORMING ABSUTH INTO A WORLD CLASS MEDICAL INSTITUTION, one that would help to reverse medical tourism to the state, appears to be gaining more traction by the day as the state government parlies with JNC INTERNATIONAL Ltd, a leading Turnkey Medical Equipment Services and Solutions Company in Nigeria towards the establishment of a state of the art Cardiovascular Centre in ABSUTH.

The founder/Managing Director of the globally acclaimed Services and Solutions company, Pharm. Clare Omatseye, broke the exciting news last Friday in Aba when she and her team paid a working visit to the Chief Medical Director of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) Aba, Prof. Ijeoma Nduka, in her office.

Pharm. Omatseye informed her host that her team was in Abia State at the instance of the State's Chief Executive to evaluate and work out the modalities for the renovation, remodeling and retrofitting of the Teaching Hospital in tandem with the Governor's vision for the institution.

According to the International award-winning Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (FPSN), JNC International Ltd, although based in Lagos, Nigeria, had field staff and engineers in different parts of the country, and as such, was poised to bring over the company's extensive experience in developing several other similar institutions across the country to Abia State, nay, ABSUTH.

She said her company was set to work with the Chief Medical Director and the State government to bring to fruition, the Governor's vision as well as the CMD's well thought out plans for the Teaching Hospital.

Responding, the Chief Medical Director of ABSUTH, Aba, Prof. Ijeoma Nduka, observed that the biggest challenge to healthcare delivery, especially in this part of the globe, was late presentation by patients in the hospitals which led to late detection of diseases. She enumerated some of the major challenges facing the Teaching Hospital to include imaging inadequacies and the need for radiology and theater upgrades.
The professor of Community Medicine further advocated for more screening programmes and a total wellness centre in the Teaching Hospital for such procedures as Non-invasive laparoscopy, open heart surgeries, and the need for intervention clinics among others.

Pharm. Clare Omatseye, the MD/CEO of JNC INTERNATIONAL Ltd was accompanied during the visit by the company's Executive Director, Voke Oshevire, the Business Manager, Radiology, Eric Amadi, and the Segment Manager (South), Okoi Igri.
